Pelican Filling Line

The Pelican Filling Line is a semi-automatic gravimetric filling machine, developed for the precise filling of IBCs, Variboxes, drums and other bulk containers that can be placed on a pallet. Filling by weight ensures a high degree of filling accuracy, regardless of product characteristics or packaging variations.

The operator places the container at one of the two filling positions and positions the filling lance above the filling opening. The position of the filling lance is then secured by means of pneumatic clamping modules. Once the filling cycle has started, a servo-controlled linear module automatically moves the filling lance to the preset filling height.

To minimise foaming, the machine starts with a fine dosing rate until the lance is below the liquid level. The machine then automatically switches to coarse dosing for rapid filling. During the filling process, the servo-controlled filling lance automatically moves in line with the rising liquid level. As soon as the desired weight is nearly reached, the system switches back to fine dosing for an accurate final fill. Once complete, the filling lance automatically returns to its rest position above the integrated drip tray, and the filled package can be removed.

The machine features a robust 304 stainless steel frame and has two filling positions, each fitted with its own calibratable load cell. Recipes and packaging can be easily managed via the HMI. The system is fitted with a 316 stainless steel filling spout, suitable for filling IBCs and drums. Other versions are available as an option.
