We are Baltussen Konservenfabriek, the oldest surviving tinned food factory in the Netherlands, founded in 1868. Our core business is preserving freshly harvested fruit and vegetables using heat treatment. This enables us to extend the shelf life of fruit and vegetables without the use of preservatives.

We specialise in the development and production of own-brand products for retailers across Europe. With a range of over 450 items, extensive experience with organic products and a variety of packaging formats, we are highly versatile. From chickpeas and beans to red cabbage, green beans and apple sauce.

We enjoy working with retailers to create products that suit their range, target audience and market. We can also contribute ideas on raw materials, recipes, product development, packaging and production. Thanks to our short lines of communication, extensive product knowledge and long-standing partnerships throughout the supply chain, we can respond flexibly to our customers’ needs.
