On-the-fly printing

Technico Pharmaceutical Engineering develops and manufactures the Printer on the Fly, a patented serialisation solution for applying codes directly to cardboard packaging without the use of labels. This solution has been developed for high-speed packaging lines within the pharmaceutical and medical industries and eliminates the need for unnecessary handling.

The Printer on the Fly stands out because packaging can be printed whilst it moves continuously through the packaging line. Thanks to the patented design, printing is applied not only in the direction of travel but also at right angles to the product’s direction of movement. This is achieved without the product having to stop or be repositioned!

The solution utilises inkjet technology and is designed for high print speeds. The patented principle, featuring a linear servo drive, ensures a stable and reliable printing process, even at high line speeds.

The Printer on the Fly is ergonomically designed, easy to operate and suitable for integration with camera systems and reject solutions.
