Which variant is suitable for which product depends on the packaging format and the product itself. Barsch bottom sealers These horizontal flow packers are usually used for packaging products in trays, with the seal seam at the bottom. Examples include tomatoes, pears, mushrooms, etc. Loose products, such as ‘traffic light’ packs for peppers and apples, can also be processed using these flexible machines. Barsch top sealers Top sealers are primarily used for packaging loose and irregularly shaped products. With these machines, the film is fed from below and the packaging is sealed at the top. Examples of products packaged using our top sealers include: chicory, asparagus, rhubarb, carrots, lettuce and herbs.

FR 305 flow packer (HFFS)

This horizontal flow-wrapper (HFFS) produces cushion-shaped packaging with three seals. It is specifically designed for manufacturers of bakery products, biscuits, chocolate and sweets. The new FM 305 is the result of ULMA’s commitment to innovation and technological development. This ongoing process has led to the new FR 305 as part of the range of rotary packaging machines. The new FR 305 replaces the previous series of rotary packaging machines with bottom film, and incorporates the latest technological developments to deliver a better user experience, greater strength and higher reliability compared to previous models. The new FR 305 is just as robust, reliable and easy to operate as all ULMA machines, and combines this with an ergonomic, cantilevered design that makes it easy to clean and ensures it meets hygiene requirements. In addition to these well-known features of ULMA machines, the new models are also extremely flexible when switching between different formats, thanks to the groundbreaking electronic platform with an industrial PC.
